It changed his life: World War II veteran and Sullivan resident Sonner Faught remembers that after he heard the news about the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941 that he left the Sherman Theater in downtown Sullivan and walked across the street to the courthouse lawn to talk with others about what they would do as the country prepared to enter a world war.
