Listed: Parts of five Indiana counties that are home to aging coal-fired power plants have failed to meet the federal government’s new, tougher standard for the air pollutant that causes acid rain and worsens respiratory ailments, regulators say. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says parts of central Indiana’s Marion and Morgan counties, southern Indiana’s Daviess and Pike counties and Vigo County in western Indiana don’t meet the agency’s new sulfur dioxide standard. The Duke Energy Wabash River Generating Station north of Terre Haute is seen here.
