Running for Responders: The Run 2 Respond team crossed over into Indiana Sunday evening. Josh Mitzen crossed the Wabsh River Bridge at 7:00 P.M. Sunday evening and finished his leg of the trek at Station 5 of the Terre Haute Fire Department. Kyle Lefeber and Chuck Kern took over for Mitzen at the station and began the Indiana portion shortly after a meeting with members of the Terre Haute Fire Department. Run 2 Respond (which can be found online at Run2respond.com) raises money to benefit first responders by running from California to Maine. The Terre Haute Police Department gave the runners an escort as two of the runners rode bikes and the baton carrier would run along side. There are still legs available which potential runners can sign up for online as well as make any donations.
