MET 090415 ICE BUCKET
Tribune-Star/Austen Leake
For a good cause: Sullivan principal Dr. Jenkins (left) and Northview Principal Mr. Mauk (right) took part in a joint effort to benefit ALS. Sullivan students went around the stands during Friday night's football game between Northview and Sullivan to collect money for the Chad Smith Scholarship. Chad Smith, a former teacher at both Northview and Sullivan, was diagnosed with ALS. Both schools competed to see who could raise more money and in the end, Mr. Mauk recieved the ice bucket, but while Dr. Jenkins may have won the competition, the real winner was the Chad Smith Scholarship. Both schools raised more than $1,500.
