Tribune-Star/Jim Avelis California bound: Helping Hands for Freedom walkers Kevin Winton, Dan Willis and David Roth walk along US40 east of Terre Haute Monday morning. Winton and Roth are headed to California. Winton, a 20-plus year educator from Indiana, and Roth, a 20-plus year veteran of the Indianapolis Metro Police Department, left Atlantic City on April 28, beginning a four-and-a-half month walk across America to raise funds for the construction of a #HouseOfHealing and PTSD Center for military families. Willis is walking the Indiana leg of the journey with them.
