Tribune-Star/Jim Avelis Long time coming: John Mace finally got a load off his chest. His Army buddy Harry Kent was killed in 1945, three days after getting word of the birth of his son, Gary Richard Kent. 71 years later, with help from family and a librarian, he met up with his buddies' son in Bloomington. He told Kent his dad knew of his birth and that his death had been swift and painless.
