Tribune-Star/Austen Leake
Paint the town pink: The Wabash Valley Breast Cancer Survivors group got together for a colorful tradition in downtown Terre Haute. For the 12th year the intersection of 6th Street and Wabash Avenue will wear a pink ribbon that was painted by the group and volunteers. The pink ribbon is painted every year prior to the carnation sale fundraiser that benefits the local chapter and helps fund their efforts to prevent and treat breast cancer. The volunteers who helped paint the ribbon this year were: Nancy and Gary Buck, Steve Storey, Phylis Fouts, Penny and Bob Mattingly, and Coral Cochran. Carnations will be sold this Friday at a varitey of locations throughout the Wabash Valley. All the locations can be found at wvbreastcancersurvivors.com.
