Watching it work: High school students from all over the Wabash Valley gathered at Ivy Tech Community College on Friday for teh annual Spartan Match. Students were given the chance to compete for their school in a variety of technology and engineering based events throughout the campus. From constructing a tower out of drinking straws to operating high-tech robotics, the students were given a chance to show off their skills they may one day use in the workforce. Terre Haute South senior Maverick Magill (right) and junior RJ Bowen (left) compete in the robitics event where the students had to evaluate the process and determine its effectiveness.
